General about me: 22 years old, been working for Aquasonic for about 8 months now (wow what a task that has been! just trying to learn how each of our 6,000 products works, whats it does, and how to sell it to your lfs is enormous), been a fish keeper for about 15 years, played it pretty safe until exploding into the cichlid world this year. Currently setting up my own aquarium maintenance business, which I'll more then likely expand into being a fish reseller/wholesaler, or starting my own aquaculture facility, but for larger aquariums species (such as intensive oscar breeding, plecos, rainbows etc etc.), currently debating the pro's and con's of writing a book (and debating if I have enough knowledge to actually write one to start with!), and yeah thats pretty much me. General about me: I grew up in Nothern Brisbane, then just after our wedding my Hubby got posted (army) to VIC. Spent almost 4 years there, and now i'm home. I never want to leave again, except i may move to Tassie, i luv it there, so relaxed & beautiful. The only good thing about VIC was that we were in Central VIC, great for gorgeous drives to Rutherglen(wineries), Yarra Valley(wineries), Bendigo.....you get the picture. I work all week and spend my weekends living it up, that is the good thing about not having kids, we go away all the time & just go out & have fun. -

Tanks: 20L brackish fishless cycling (going to house bumblebee gobies and brackish raised guppies) 20L planted contains livebearer fry to hold the cycle, intended stocking ember tetras and shrimp. Various 25-50L livebearer fry. Various 5-10 litre bettas (5 males, 1 female at present). 85L planted platies, cory paleatus, bristlenose, longfin rosy barbs, soon a pair of kribs. PLANNED paludarium (when we move) got my eye on a 310L, will contain Pantodon, frogs, rainbows, diamond tetras, congos, checkerboard cichlids, anything else I feel like! and a three beacon plec (L091) if I can find one.
Other pets: Cat Calli, spayed female, 5 years in November. Frogs Invertaguts, Beauty, Bloat, Long Dark Green, Spotty and Double - all brothers and sisters, parents are Gargantua and Lady Jayne both among the dear departed. (I know, I am ridiculous about my frogs. Don't go there! lol) Six possums in the roof. Large number of wild birds in the garden (we don't like birds in cages).
Fave Fish: Bettas, livebearers, Australian natives (particularly micro rainbows in genus Pseudomugil) celestial pearl danio (galaxy rasbora) three beacon plec (I WANT ONE) checkerboard cichlid (dicrossus filamentosa) anything else with fins!
Fave Music: Just about anything. Dug up some old muso magic tracks last year that are pretty good.

2ft (60 litre) planted currently cycling with some tetras and a bn. When the bettas move in, hope to get some shrimp and albino bn as well. This is to be a betta breeding tank.

Fave Fish: Elephant nose, bettas and kuhli. Also have a soft spot for the various catfish. The danios are fun, cheerful fish to have around.

Things I miss: Thought I couldn't live without ballroom/latin dancing (15+ years worth) but am adjusting to that loss (wife had an accident and can't dance anymore, and daughter is not up to it yet), and like some of the others, my horses. Used to breed arab/palomino but had to give that away when I went to uni, same as all the poultry I use to breed and show. Hmm, think I see a pattern here, hence the quick addiction to fish.
Travel: All but W.A. Most recent was Heron Island in March 09 for 10th wedding anniversary - now that is a place to dive/snorkel for fish!
