When posting photo's on the forum... Please keep the photos to a MAXIMUM size of 800 x 600.

There is nothing worse than having to scroll up & down & across just to view a whole photo. Or having it take ages to load onto the page, especially when there are alot of them.

Photo's too large for the forum will be removed and the member notified of the photo removal.

I don't want to seem harsh, but it's just something that irks me alot.

If you're not sure how to resize your photo's to an appropriate size, just ask.

Thankyou for your co-operation.

Many photo editing programs allow you to resize a photo... I currently use PhotoStudio

Most Windows has a program called Microsoft Photo Editor and you can resize photo's in this.

Either open Microsoft Photo Editor & then load the specific photo you want to resize

OR

Right click on the specific photo
Select "Open With" and "Microsoft Photo Editor"

On the top menu..

Select Image
Resize
In Width type 800 (Height should automatically be adjusted)
Click "OK"
Select File, "Save As" and save the photo

Note: When resizing the photo... the units should be "Pixels"

Then upload the photo to an online photo storage site such as Photobucket.

You need an addon to your windows program in powertoys, image resizer. I just clicked and it installed and I have been right clicking and resizing ever since. It makes uploading to photobucket loads faster as well.

Oh, and if you go through all your old photo files and resize every image, it frees up megabytes of space so you can put on ten times more photos. Just remember to delete the old full size photo and empty your deleted items bin.

For all those who would love to make their own cool avatar, here's how I do it.
1. Upload a photo, any size from your computer to http://www.photobucket.com
Of course you will need to create yourself an account if you haven't already.
2. Now maximum size for your avatar is 80 x 80 pixels so hit edit on your photo in photobucket and type in the size you need.
3. Save the image and right click to copy it. Paste it into your computer photo file.
4. Go into your user control panel on livefish, go into edit avatar, click browse to find the photo on your computer and when you find it click on it and upload. Hit save on your control panel and you have a new avatar.

Hi folks, try this http://www.onthegosoft.com/sp_download.htm
It's called "Shrinkpic" for 2000/XP/Vista, its an automatic picture resizer that is just fantastic and hassle free.
I use it alot for emails and blogs, it works anytime you want to upload pics.
I hope this helps.

Sign up, follow prompts top upload. Or you can use Flickr if you already have an account there. Or if you don't like signing up to stuff, http://tinypic.com doesn't require registration, and I'm pretty sure keep the image forever (or as forever as the internet allows).

I'm bumping this as there's lots of new members that need to resize their photos before putting them in the forums, and some old members that need to be reminded!!!
