Check out this picture of an angler fish we got today on the club collecting trip, only a mother could love that face, Yuk!!!

I know lots of hobbyists that love these things, but I can’t stand them, I was almost sick hanging on to it for the photo.eeerrr.

We see heaps of these in certain spots, mainly the other coloured ones, yellow that sought of thing, but we wont touch them normally, we leave them for the commercial guys to get, but one of the guys has been pushing for one for ages, he will probably be very excited to get it, I’m wouldn't!!!i hope its long time before I hang onto another one of these things for any one.

The horrible things have arms and they use them to work around on your hand, that’s like some kind of horror movie.

The trips videos and pics are in our club section on the forum if you want to look or just Waite, it will be in the snorkelling ,boating---section in a few days so you don’t have to register to see that one, its all good.

You think that was bad, that was a dog shark we got out to scare you,see if you like a shark hanging off your thigh trying to tear of a peice and all you have to use is your fists to punch it in the head to get it off.

you are lucky it was me that got there first to the sharky spot,i am still not sure of the species that black shark was, next time we go there i am taking a hand spear and i will hopefully find it again, most sharks are territorial and than it will have at least one hole in it.

Hopefully it doesnt get some one with out a wetsuit to protect them.

That was rediculas,i was just laying on the bottom filming a clown fish and i was twice its size, what the!!!!!

Hey around 80 feet away from there, was where the poor girl was killed by a shark a while back by,supposedly, bull sharks.

It can be a bit hairy down that way.

I was near those young guys fishin off the rocks, and saw everyone else way further up.. i was shitting myself cause i was on my own haha and then when we all went around to the open sandy beach bit.. everyone went back to the van and i had no idea.. i wassn't sure wether to keep going towards the boat ramp or go back.. couldn't see anyone ha. Was a bit worried then <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

The only reason the shark got a bite in was a lack of concentration, you never trust the ocean at any time,it will bite you if you do.

I had no idea a bull shark can appear black at times, this thing was black with a line down its back.

Me and chris had a largeish shark around 12 foot swim in a little close under a dive boat in front of us off cook island about 15 years back and it looked exactly like a white pointer, but it was mainly black, than in later months my other half found an article on white pointers in the sunday paper and it mentioned they go through a black stage, the heart skipped another beat that day.

we were out there in his rubber duck, once we got back to the his boat i tried to tell the dive boat group it was around, but they couldn't hear me.

There were no reports in the paper so it must not have bothered them.

My wetsuit suffered a little extra that day.
