Hi everyone

Im just about to commence setting up my first saltwater aquarium and I am interseted to know what a good rule of thumb is to use when filling it with Live Rock & Sand.

Its a 300L aquarium so I was thinking i'll need maybe 30kg of live rock??? I have 20kg of sand for a substrate too so im also hoping that will be enough..

What do you guys think?

Hi im not gonna say im an expert at this <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> but this is what i found when i was researching my own tank.
1-1.5 lbs of liverock to 1 gal of water so roughly converted that comes to 0.5kg of liverock to 3.7l of water.
    Hope that helps
