New Shrimp Tank

Hi guys and girls. I finally figured out this photobucket stuff (well my daughter did anyway!). This is my new shrimp tank just awaiting for my Lfs to get more shrimps in and then we are off, as the tank has now been cycling for 6 weeks. To check out tank photos click on the link. Thank-you

looks really good, well done just remember to make sure the tank is fully cycled, even the tough humble Cherry Shrimp will suffer even die in a new setup.

Thanks guys, the shrimp wont be in for at least 2-3 weeks, so i plan to cycle for another 4, will put some neons in and test everything a week or 2 later, keep you up dated.Cheers

Thanks Mooo, as for the filter, its rated to 75 - 150 lts, and the pump is good for 150-200 lts so i figure that would probaly do it, i could be wrong, what would you suggest for a 50 litery? Cheers.

I take it the tank =50ltrs of water, if so then the filter will be fine.

Are you going to add any mosses?

Cherries are tough as nails....I toss em in uncycled tanks all the time....they are my DIY background canaries, haven't lost any yet

Yes Heintz, 50 ltre tank,so about 45 liters as i leave about an inch from the top!
Thanks Alasse, the thing with moss, once its in the tank its there for ever, currently researching alternatives, are there any "not so triffid like " moss species.I have java moss in one of my rainbow tanks and i am forever pruning it. Cheers )

I don't use java moss anymore, too invasive. I now only have peacock moss, love the stuff, and easy to remove from a tank

I would get a larger sizes sponge
