If you plan on keeping the goldfish in there long term ( which I do not reccomend as goldfish will outgrow that tank and the tank is heavily overstocked ), you will need a massive filter to keep up with their waste.
Those goldfish will combined need probably a 2 meter plus long tank and a really powerful filters. -
so the filter we have running atm is prob the best for the tank at this moment in time when they get bigger i can move them to a 1x2mtr pond and restock the tank from there

Hi and Welcome Jason
600 ltrs per hour will do for now , But TT is correct, 7 is too many for a standard 2 foot tank, a few months and they will need to be removed to a larger home or as you say , to your pondIs their tank cycled? If it is a new tank, uncycled, you could run into problems

thanks for the welcome and yes the tank was cycles before the fish were added ( we have 3 large goldies from the pond that are in a 3 ft tank at the moment due to leakage in the pond fixing atm )Mooo said:Hi and Welcome Jason

the 3 ft tank will be turned into a marine tank soon though but that is another kettle of fish for later
thanks again Mooo
