So today i am picking up my new marine tank...finally!. Starting smaller and if i do ok i will get a larger one i am sure lol
Very much looking forward to my first steps to the salty side. Will probably be a few days until i get it wet, as i need to buy some containers to bring the RO water home in.
Will update with pics when i can(camera cables still packed somewere lol)

Hmm, another one heading to the Dark SideSometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes & dreams.

Oh this ought to be super good, We know it will take a while for it's true beauty to shine so be patient

Yeah, this one will not be a reef tank, most rock and coral will be fake as i am wanting seahorses. Once i get the hang of this one (and my shed is built) i will be doing a larger full reef setupMooo said:Oh this ought to be super good, We know it will take a while for it's true beauty to shine so be patient

Nice Alasse! So seahorse? You are going to need to culture a lot of brine shrimp!
-
Yep seahorses, the ones i am getting eat frozen

Oh now ya really got me in
Who doesn't love a sea horse, You could still run a DIY BS hatchery, I had one going for over 4 years continuously when I was breeding rams and angels
they will really thrive mentally as well as nutritionally on a live feed every second feed or so
OOO I am exited now

Tank is around 120 litres.
Today i filled one the tank
Filled the tank added salt and let it mix. i have added a powerhead and added live rock. I notice some little crabs sneaking about.
Will be adding a few mollies to help with cycle.
